Satya's Message

Dear Parent,
I was delighted to be a part of the dedication ceremony of IWS, Mandi (H.P) on Apr 27, 2009. This was a first visit of mine to Mandi since IWS got underway last academic year. The experience of interacting with mentors, sharing their joys and challenges, exchanging thoughts with RK, the Director of the school was absolutely exhilarating. The entrepreneurial energy of Chandan Bhatia and the involvement of Bharti bodes well for the new IWS at the foothills of the Himalayas.Deep in my heart, I do nurse the hopes of building IWS, Mandi into our flagship institution for Himachal and the nearby region. I take this opportunity to welcome you to IWS wholeheartedly and assure you of our best efforts in bringing a contemporary education which carries the virtues of ancient Indian values to you. We would be proud of ourselves when you look at your children in a decade (or more) from now and attribute a part of their shaping to our competent and committed mentors at IWS. Hopefully, the core values of CL (Career Launcher) and our ever-increasing commitment to the field of education would be evident to you at all times.I would fail in my duty if I forget to thank you for reposing faith in us and allowing us to mentor your child. We feel grateful to you for the same and dedicate ourselves to the cause of your child’s education wholeheartedly.Lastly, I wish to close by merely recalling our CORE PURPOSE : “Enable every child realize her potential and make her dreams come true”. We seek your constant support and encouragement in translating this core purpose into a reality for your child.
With Appreciation
Satya Narayanan R
Chairman Career Launcher

From the Desk of the Principal

Welcome to IWS, Jarli, Gagal Road, Mandi, in a tranquil surroundings after our grueling endeavours to sustain quality at Jawahar Nagar Campus since a year. When we look back, we find nothing but consistent efforts by our entire team of students, mentors and parents to meet the ever emerging challenges. We are thrilled to arrive at our new location on the 27th of April 2009 after relishing an amazing journey of success at our ten other schools across India. The Ananda classes from playgroup to grade 1 will remain at Jawahar Nagar Campus in this school year. The Indus World School at Mandi would kick off with its Gagal Road Campus that will house the children from grade 2 until grade 7, in its phase 1. The phase 1 would be equipped with the state of art auditorium, 7 spacious classrooms, a computer room and a decent playing area. The entire proposed structure including phase 2 will be commissioned in the academic year 2010-2011, to house grades until 12, as a fully grown CBSE school. We wish to begin in a small a humble way, to be known for all that Career Launcher and IWS have built up over the past many years - Excellence in Education. We cherish a dream to create a Day Boarding school next school year, which would be supplemented with the partial boarding facility two years later, to be connected with the entire Indian and internationalcommunity of students/mentors /parents.The Indus way of learning centres around the child. The child’s participation, experience, voice and opinion are what matter the most. Our mission as mentors along with our parents is to enable our students to realize their potential and achieve their dreams. We believe in real life experiential learning rather than expertise, for deeper understanding. At Jigyasa level, we as a school challenge, motivate andstimulate the child to inculcate learning through imagination and creativity by igniting curiosity, to make the child a life-long learner. We facilitate the children to learn on their own and discover through experimentations. At this stage a scientific temper of enquiry, assignment based education will be incorporated with a balanced emphasis on academic and non-academic pursuits including Yoga, Art of Living, developing concentration, value education, games, adventure sports and other co-curricular activities such as debates, elocutions, quizzes, dramatics, music, dance, community service and educational excursions. We at IWS, Mandi, are committed to make the process of learning enjoyable to prepare our students for a bright future. I, myself coming to this IWS philosophy from an international background ofAustralia, Indonesia and Singapore, feel that it is the need of the age, in which we are. In fact, we are not different in any ways but we are doing something which we should be doing. Let us learn from nature and be natural always. I am absolutely approachable, hence can be reached at rk.singh@indusworldschool.com or 09459137800.
With warmest regards
